Unknown soldier

My name is Sjoukje and in 1945 I met a soldier who was stationed in Leeuwarden, a city in the northern part of Holland. His name was Bud but last name is lost. He lived in big white house in Leeuwarden. A wonderful gentle and he was with the military police. Had access to a jeep and we went places at time we went eating in the army barracks. In his duties he had a German Sheppard dog and later he gave this dog to me. When he left for Canada he said that when he went to bed at night he could hear the Niagara Falls. I would dearly love to know what happened to him so over the years gone by. Hope that some day I meet him again.
